The topic this Saturday was Multimeters. How many do you have and what do you prefer to use.
Most spoke about using digital multimeters these days, but it was pointed out several times that many of the digital multimeters cannot take the voltages produced by the valve radios, so some sort of analogue meter that can take up to 2,5kv was preferable for working on them.

There were quite a few people who spoke of their analogue meters, mainly AVO type, but a few others were mentioned.
Most people ha a few meters that were used in their shacks, or on the workbench.
One thing that was pointed out that not all of the digital multimeters were that accurate, so when it comes to taking very small measurements, make sure you have a fairly good make that is accurate doe what you are doing.

Andy, A good technique is to use a digital multimeter in parallel with an analogue for voltage and in series for current measurements. I have found some material relating to my meters article so will pm you 73,Richard, F4WCD/ZS6TF
