Bushy Roode ZS6YQ was created by Moderator / Webmaster
Bushy was one of the founding members of the Antique Wireless Association. When the Collins group decided to open up their membership to all users of valve radios, Bushy was one of the main instigators.
Bushy had achieved DXCC 100 status under the call sign ZS6M and decided to change his call sign to ZS6YQ to start all over again.
A real stalwart and the first net controller of the AWA nets, Bushy was a keen Collins collector and had a magnificent collection that was admired by many.
Bushy was AWA President in 2004.
